Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when a pre-paid wallet reaches its low balance threshold?

When a wallet for an ad account has reaches its low balance threshold the ad account state will change to inactive and will not longer serve ads. In order to reactivate the ad account you must add funds using the TopUpWallet API by adding CREDITS and/or PRE_PAIDfunds.

Once the wallet has funds you must reactivate the ad account to start serving ads. Call the UpdateAdAccoutnStateInfo API or use the Stand Alone Campaign Manager to change the state and reactivate ad account. The campaigns under the ad account retain their status; in other words the ad campaigns that were Active (turned on) will stay in their current state and will start to serve ads once the ad account state is set active.

What's the difference between the balance shown in Query/List Wallets and the spending history in QueryWalletAccountHistory?

For Query/List Wallets, the balance displayed is a rough approximation to give you a real-time snapshot of your current spending status. This number may be inaccurate and could vary from the final settled amount.

For QueryWalletAccountHistory, The spending history of the wallet provides a comprehensive record of the finalized details for each ad account. History is updated daily at 3 p.m. according to the platform's time zone. If an ad account has leftover credits, they will be used first when the daily update happens.

Here are example scenarios of topping up the credits.

A wallet or advertising account has run out of credits and is currently spending (-$100) from the prepaid account. If you then use the TopUp API to add Credits ($200) to the wallet/ad account before the daily settlement at 3 pm, those newly added credits will be used first because the system prioritizes deducting credits from the Wallet over prepaid funds. This action could alter the balance shown in Query/List Wallets. The actual imp/click attribution and spending are settled daily at 3 pm according to the platform’s timezone. Therefore, the amount shown after settlement may slightly differ from what was displayed earlier.

Wallet debits and credits are stored and displayed in that currency.

Can platform users still report in the base currency?

Yes. Platform-level reporting continues to use the platform base currency.

Platform users can also view ad account-level reporting in the advertiser’s ad account currency where supported.

Can Multi-currency Support be disabled later?

Multi-currency Support should be treated as a one-way enablement.

Once secondary-currency ad accounts or campaigns exist, disabling the feature is not considered a standard supported workflow.
